We've been hinting at the puppet project we've been working on for @wizards_magic for a few weeks now, and now that #mtgfoundations is out we can start sharing more - here's a little teaser! We'll be showing each step of the process over the coming days, so stay tuned as we go into more detail on how we made Loot!

Spent a little time in front of @steamkittens came

Spent a little time in front of @steamkittens camera at @supanovaexpo Adelaide. As always, his ideas are utterly inspired! His suggestion of having an assistant throw the tentacles for a few shots worked an absolute treat!
I'll be working on the full Emperor armor over the next few months once we finish up the last couple of things for the year, so stay tuned for the build log.

We have had the most incredible afternoon! Getting to talk shop with Adam Savage, geek out about making stuff. You could knock me down with a feather right now.

I don't know if I'd be in this career without Adam and Mythbusters. He was such an inspiration for a much smaller, nerdier tiny-child-Scrap. I already loved science, but Mythbusters was what made me want to be a maker.

Going to try to do some in-depth looks at the work

Going to try to do some in-depth looks at the work I put into my Halsin cosplay over the next few days.
Here's a look at the woven leather on the corset - I posted photos a little while back, but video definitely shows how the weave contours around the corset much better.
I left a fairly large lacing gap in the back (which gets covered by leather scales and decorative vestments) since my weight goes up and down a lot, and good thing I did too, as I'm about 10 kgs lighter than I was a few months ago.
I'm still stoked at how this project turned out. Is there any part of the costume in particular that anyone would like to see in more detail?

Finally got a chance to look through @steamkittens

Finally got a chance to look through @steamkittens photos of my femme Halsin from @paxaus, and heck, I feel so ... so ... rugged! 😳
I really thought it'd sink in that I won, but nope, it hasn't! I suppose it won't feel like an actual thing until it all hits the organising stage, although I'm already planning some changes and tweaks here and there before Chicago, and this time I rep Australia I'm going to stick with the same costume, not make a whole new one!
Thank you again for all the well wishes and congratulations - I've slowly been trying to respond to as many folks as I can as and when I get the time, but it might take a bit of time, as we're back into the thick of it with work projects - editing the video for our DOOM: The Dark Ages props and heading into the final push on a neat puppet project we've had brewing for a while. 👀
