Our work

Here's some of the things we've made ...

2026

New Project!

World of Warcraft Lor’themar Theon, Blizzard, 2026For the launch of World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, Midnight, we were tasked by Blizzard to turn Scrap into Lor’themar Theron. We accomplished this task at the same time as moving our entire house and workshop interstate, and did the bulk of the work in a 3 week span before we had fully set up our workshop.

World of Warcraft Onyxia housing decor, Blizzard, 2026. Our final project in our old workshop, to promote player housing coming to World of Warcraft in the Midnight expansion, we created his enormous Onyxia head in just two weeks, from 3D modelling to painting. We also created two huge banners - Horde & Alliance - all for an installation allowing players to experience player housing in real life, in Federation Square in Melbourne.

2025

Digital Extremes approached us with the idea of bringing something from Warframe to life as a massive puppet. We went through several concepts before settling on bringing one of the goodest boys in Duviri to life - the Krubie! This massive skeletal puppet measured over 2.4m from tip to tail and was a monumental task of print, mechanisms and moulding and casting, all covered through a series of making-of videos. Scrap worked from inside the puppet whilst Hench wore a Drifter costume we produced as the external puppeteer. While originally intended to attend TennoCon, we ended up showcasing the puppet in a very successful social media campaign instead. See the YouTube video below for how we made this enormous puppet!

A real bucket-list item, we were visited by Adam in our workshop the year before where he met our Owlbear puppet. Wanting one of his own we visited his shop in San Francisco and with collaboration across the globe came together to make him his very own Owlbear! You can see the build video on the Tested YouTube channel below.

She was selected to represent Australia in Chicago at C2E2 (for the second time) and went on to win the overall global title of 2025 World Crown Champion of Cosplay. For the release of DOOM: The Dark Ages we brought the monstrously large Skull Crusher to life for Bethesda. It was a massive engineering task as the entire thing was made functional, featuring high torque motors, custom sprockets and chains and two 32,000RPM grinders for shooting all sorts of things through it! Also working pistons! So many moving parts.

For the release of Fallout 76: The Ghoul Within, we were tasked by Bethesda with creating a Fallout ghoul mask with an Australian twist, so we sculpted, moulded and cast a full face silicone cowl for Hench to wear as part of a social media promotion.

Before the release of DOOM: The Dark Ages we were tasked by Bethesda to bring the Slayer’s Shield Saw and Flail to life for photo opportunities at PAX AUS 2024. The shield featured an incline planetary gearbox to make the saw blade spin, while the flail was cast in a soft urethane for crowd/audience safety.

For Magic: The Gathering’s Foundations we were asked by WotC to make the Fomori child Loot! A mixture of soft foam fabrication, a full internal skeleton rig for later posing in a photo shoot and a tonne of moulding and casting for his mouth and eyes, he was at the time our most complicated cable control rig!. Check out the YouTube video to see how we made him.

We worked with Wizards of the Coast for their 2024/2025 APAC League trophies, Inspired by the Year of the Dragon. All 28 trophies were shipped in a separate display case for easy shipping to events.

For the release of Magic the Gathering’s highly successful Bloomburrow set, Wizards of the Coast asked us to produce a social media campaign showcasing the crafting of a handmade puppet of the set’s protagonist, the intrepid mouse hero Mabel. We lovingly brought her to life using cable controlled puppetry and artisanal costume making techniques, and the campaign went viral on Instagram and Facebook. See how we made her in this YouTube video.

With our Baldur’s Gate 3 hype persevering we tackled a few more personal projects. Scrap sculpted, moulded and silicone-cast a full Mind Flayer mask for himself before Armageddon 2024! The mask was then used with a Society of Brilliance robe made by Hench to become the character Omeluum, and Scrap has long term plans to one day create The Emperor's full armour set to accompany it.

Owlbear cub puppet, Baldur’s Gate 3, 2024 (personal project) We were swept up in the hype of Baldur’s Gate 3’s release, and we both desperately wanted to make something from it for PAX in 2024. With only a few days before the convention, we spent a whirlwind 3 days (and later on another 4 days of touch ups and fur texturing), creating a puppet of the beloved owlbear cub, which then went viral on social media.

2023

To promote Wizards of the Coast's Magic the Gathering: Return to Ixalan set, we turned Hench into Admiral Brass, based on the card art from the set by Jason Rainville. We edited a stunning making of video, shot entirely by just the two of us.

For the release of Starfield, Bethesda tasked us with meticulously recreating two Crimson Fleet props - a helmet and blaster. As the game wasn't yet released we had no access to 3D models, so Scrap modelled these two entirely from scratch, and we 3D printed them, meticulously following reference art provided by the client for a painstakingly accurate finish.

Baby dragon puppets, World of Warcraft Dragonflight, Blizzard Entertainment, 2022. We made these fully articulated baby dragon puppets for Blizzard, showcasing the adorable whelplings of the Dragon Isles. Cast entirely out of silicone with a foamed silicone core, this was one of the most technically challenging projects we've ever undertaken, but they move beautifully and we're extremely proud of them.

For the launch of Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Blizzard asked us to build a hyper detailed Lich King cosplay and create a "making of" video to post on social media. Scrap wore the final costume as part of a launch event at Mjolner in Sydney. We've taken this cosplay to many, many different events since then.

As part of the Skyrim 10th anniversary, we created the Sanguine Rose for Bethesda to use in a charity stream. The final prop was given away on stream to a lucky viewer. This prop had a turn around time of just a couple of weeks but had a lot of polish, and we're very fond of the color shift finish.

As part of the Skyrim 10th anniversary, we built a gorgeously detailed replica of the Mace of Molag Bal for Bethesda. Modelled from scratch, this was almost entirely resin printed in transparent resin and contained a refracting lens through which custom programmed LEDs shone, creating the eerie daedric glow.

We made and wore Artyom and Ana costumes and props for 4A Games' Metro Exodus Sydney media day. With both costumes made in two and a half weeks, we had limited photo reference to go off as no game files were available, and were very pleased with how accurate they ended up being to the source material for such a rapid project.

We made two Fortnite costumes for the Epic Games Fortnite booth at Supanova Sydney. We were given a selection of new skins to choose from, so we chose Luminos and Molten Valkyrie. Done on a 4 week timeline, the Luminos coat featured almost 15 meters of custom programmed LEDs, and Molten Valkyrie has a wig with animated LEDs that made it really look like it was on fire.

At the invitation of Blizzard ANZ as part of their Overwatch Cosplay Battle, we collaborated on another Reinhardt project - this time tackling the Greifhardt skin. We hand flocked all the moss, which was cool as we're big suckers for cool old mossy stuff.
